Dear Sarah,

I have been in Paris for five days now. I really miss you and our other friends and I can’t wait to see you again. These past five days have been crazy and I’m here for five more days. It all started when we arrived at the airport in Paris. My mother wanted to go shopping straight away but my father told her that we needed to check in to the hotel. We got a taxi to take us there. When we arrived we checked in and went to our rooms, we unpackaged our luggage and went to get a taxi to take us to the shops. We got there and my mother went straight to the clothes shop and we followed her. After about an hour we went to get food on the way my mother went into a newsagent and said I’m feeling lucky today so I’m going to get a lottery ticket so she bought one and scratched it to see the signs on it. She got three stars which mean she went into a draw. She put down here information and put it into a box. We went back on our way to get something to eat. Over the next few days, we went sightseeing at the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland and we did lots of shopping. We didn’t think any more about the lotto ticket until yesterday meaning we were watching the television but couldn’t understand most of it as it was in French when my mother got a phone call. It was a French number so she answered it. She talked to the person on the phone it was a person from the lotto. The person on the phone asked my mother to hold for a minute while she got something. My mother looked at us with a confused look on her face. Then the person came back and told my mother she won the lottery and asked her to go to the lotto headquarters in Paris to collect the money. My mother started screaming and jumping around the place when she screamed, ‘I won the lotto’ really loud. Then the rest of us started to scream and jumped around the place. After we calmed down my brother asked ‘when are you going to get your money?’   ‘I have to go to the lotto headquarters today at one o’clock’, she replied, She looked at her watch and realized it was twelve o’clock, We quickly ran to get ready then went downstairs to get a taxi to the lotto headquarters. When we got there a lady came out and brought us inside. She gave my mother and father some Champagne and gave Orange juice to me and my brothers. My mother asked the lady, ‘How much did I win?’   ‘You won three and a half million euro’, she replied. We all looked at her shocked, she smiled and turned and walked away. We all followed her into a room. A man was there and he asked if she wanted everyone to know and my mother said no. The man and the lady then brought us to another room where they presented my mother with a big cheque, They told us it would be transferred to our account straightaway. We were all so happy, we went back to the hotel and went to the bar to get some food and drinks. My mother was so happy. She said she wants to go on another holiday this year and do a lot of shopping.

Well, that’s all for now. Write back soon.

I will see you in a few days and I will be three and a half million euro richer.

Bye

Ella
