As you know Tourism Scotland invited me on a trip around Scotland for their advertising. First thing I saw was an Old Firm derby in Celtic Park where the atmosphere was electric. We then got a train to Edinburgh and saw the castle looming over all the city like a giant. We went to a few pubs to get the mood of the historic city. We drove to Dundee and went up the Sidlaw Hills where the view was breathtaking. We ferried to Aberdeen which looked like a standard city but had something special about it. We drove right into the heart of the Grampian mountains. It was one of the most beautiful and inspiring journeys I have ever taken. We stayed in a little village by Loch Ericht where the locals were friendly. I heard the famous bagpipes being played by the in the area. We went to Inverness and stayed in a castle turned hotel which had its 500th year anniversary the day after we came. So there was a huge banquet with seemingly endless trays of expertly cooked food. The hills around it were as clean as freshly washed sheets. The chips there were the best I’ve ever had. But here comes the exciting part, so we decided to go to Loch Ness for some shots but right as we turn the camera on a sea green snake-like creature emerges out of the water.
It was crazy.
