Hey Mary,

How are you keeping?

I hope everyone is well at home and tell them I say hello. It is now my second week out here in Spain. The weather is lovely out here and I hope the weather isn’t too bad at home. I am really enjoying my time out here in Spain and the food is very tasty. The beaches in Spain are beautiful. The sand burns my feet when I forget to wear my flip flops. The water is always glistening and the sun reflects off the cooling water during the day. The beach is always a lot of fun but I hate when sand gets in my eyes. I have had one bad experience at the beach when I was swimming in the sea and a crab pinched my ankles with his big red claws. It was sore for a few days but I’m fine now. This was only a small thing that happened to me.

Let me tell you what happened at the pool. The swimming pools are my favourite place to go to. They are very cold but that’s a good thing because the cold water cools me down because the temperatures are so high. The waterslides are lots of fun but I got hurt last week. I was going on my favourite slide. It’s hard to describe it but there is a very steep slide and you go down it on a plastic float. I went down the slide as normal with my float. On my way down the float turned upside down and I fell off and hit my head off the metal slide. I can’t remember what happened after that I just remember waking up in the hospital with strange faces staring at me. I stayed in the hospital for a few days but I am feeling better now. Enough with all my injuries and back to the good parts of my holiday. I go for a walk along the beach or else around the apartments when the sun sets. The apartments are very clean and spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Back to what I was saying about the evening walks, I really enjoy them. I collect sea shells along the shore and see all the sea creatures moving about in the water. I love to watch the sun set and see all the colours change in the sky. I have a week left here on my holidays in Spain. I hope I won’t get too badly sun burnt because the temperatures are supposed to get higher than they already are! I can’t wait to see you again and hear all of your news! I hope you don’t miss me too much! The summer is flying by and next thing you know we will be back to school again. When I get back from Spain we should meet up and go somewhere fun. It’ll be a great time for us to catch up with each other.

I hope to hear back from you soon and tell me all about your news back home in Ireland.

Chat to you soon,
