Dear Mam,

How are things! Hope you are all well. I haven’t written to you since I got here so I thought it would be a good idea to fill you in on what I’ve been getting up to   The trip so far has been unreal. You know that ever since I was young I have always wanted to visit a place like this. The flight was very long, being almost 9 hours but to be honest I didn’t really mind considering we were flying on a private jet. There was so much space to just relax, it wasn’t like your average flight on Ryan Air. I know there are a lot of airports in the Bahamas but Katie, you know Katie, my best friend, she said we don’t have time for the airport, that we have to make the most of this trip. So our jet landed right at the beach, we were looking out of the window watching us skid along the water right on to the soft sand. It was overwhelming knowing I was finally here. We arrived at the reception of the resort which was right on the beach. Just as we stepped off of the private jet, there were two bell boys waiting for us to carry our luggage, I knew straight away I could get used to this. It was about 7 pm by the time we got to the resort, it was still so warm out. We waited for a buggy to bring us to our bungalows. The man driving brought us on to this boardwalk, there were 6 bungalows standing on stilts over the blue sea water. I could see people in their bungalows and could smell the barbecue they were making. He drove us right to the end of the boardwalk and said it was just on the left. You’d think bungalows wouldn’t be that great by the sounds of it, but when I say this bungalow was huge I mean it. It was like a villa, there was no upstairs but it was still so amazing. That evening we lay on our sunbeds watching the sun go down. I was living the dream.

The next morning we got up bright and early to the waft of Katie’s pancakes. I headed into the kitchen. I couldn’t believe it when I saw three chefs there making French toast and setting out strawberries. It was delicious.   That day we got a ferry to a private beach. We were going to swim with stingrays. On our way over I was nervous but it was unreal, the water was so shallow and the stingrays were so soft to touch. Katie took a picture of me with one, which I sent to you with this letter.

Anyways, that’s all I have to say, I’m heading to Santana’s Bar and Grill for seafood now and tomorrow were going to a waterpark.

It will be so exciting.

Love, Karla
